20 Jan General Practice Leadership Development Programme
How do leaders in general practice ensure their practice is sustainable, and ready to succeed in a fast-changing NHS?
What options do practices have, and what benefits can ‘at scale’ organisations bring?
What are the pros and cons of federations, super-partnerships and limited companies?
Designed for GPs and practice managers who are planning for the future, or taking up leadership roles in GP partnerships, federations, local provider networks, or new integrated organisations.
Sessions are led by experienced medical and GP leaders, with plenty of discussion time. Parallel sessions for GPs and Practice Managers are used to ensure all content is relevant and specific.
Our two-day programme includes:
NHS politics, people, and power
Options for developing general practice as the NHS transforms
How to govern well, manage the money, communicate and engage
Evening meal in the Old Library
Leadership styles and approaches
Improving personal effectiveness
Building a successful career
All sessions are led by experienced medical and GP leaders, with time to discuss the issues and question our speakers. Keele Hall is an atmospheric venue. Our course dinner in the Old Library includes an invited speaker to continue the conversation.
